| Looks like the good people at the Indie Music Video Festival seem to think that the Scream and Yell video is deserving of the "Best of the Fest" title. That's lovely. For those of you who live in Vancouver, this means you can head on down to Ginger 62 on Thursday January 16th and watch the video on the big screen! Also featured are videos from Hot Hot Heat, the Smugglers, the Weakerthans, the Dears, and a few more "Indie" artists. Advice: when they show our video, let em' know who you came to see! This means Cheering, signing along, dancing, and other uncontrolled outbursts. You might pretend that we are actually there in Vancouver, playing right in front of you. Anyways, it's 7 bucks at the door, and showtime starts at 9pm. call (604)878-4646 for more info. No word yet as to whether the show will feature monkey camerapersons, or human camerapersons dressed as monkeys, or not. (check out the picture for an "Artist's Rendering" of said monkey cameraperson) Moving right along, in celbration of our favourite meal, Lunch, we've decided to play a lunch-time extravaganza show at Fanshawe College in London. This lunch-tacular set will start at 12:00pm, the lunching hour on January 16th in the Lunch-eteria. Bring your Lunchbox! In other, non-lunch-related news, in the latest Chart Magazine, there's a list of the top 100 albums for Canadian Campus Radio. we clocked in at #49, with 13 weeks on the Chart, peaking at #4. Thanks to everyone who requested our music, and everyone who saw fit to play it. Also in the magazine is "An Open Letter to Tricky Woo." Someone should write this guy a letter saying Patrick is alive and well in The Carnations, who are also better than all of those [other] "THE" bands. Except for maybe THE Band... ...and THE Beatles... ...and THE Led Zeppelin. Gotta go eat lunch.
