Drive to Winnipeg
2003-11-13

After the T-Bay show, we slept upstairs in some girls apartment with Richard, Jeremiah, and the other band. (There were lots of beds)

Pat and I woke up around 10am and decided to seek out breakfast. Across the street from the club was this greek restaurant, which looked like a bingo hall. Thom soon found us, and later, Nathan showed up, after his prerequisite 45 minute shower. God knows what he does in there, but sufficed to say, it takes almost and hour, and we've learned to plan around it.

Drove until 6pm. Ate dinner at the worst Pizza Hut ever. Nathan had some fun doing the kids crossword puzzle with a crayon, After answering 10 down, "an imaginary man who represents the United States", he crossed out "Uncle Sam" and wrote "George Bush." Hilarious.

By the time we got to Phoenix, er, Winnipeg, it was about 10pm, and freezing cold. We stayed with Cam, the Weakerthans sound guy. Cam was really cool to us. He got us some treats, and took us to Amateur night at the Zoo. If anyone's ever been their, the you know what it's like there. My hat goes off to "Sassy" wherever you are...

We ended off the night with a few drunken calls to Rusty of the Waking Eyes, who is in T.O. recording. Goodnight, Rusty.
